God looked upon his garden
And found an empty place.
He then looked down upon this earth
and saw your tired face.

He put his arms around you
And lifted you to rest.
God's garden must be beautiful
He always takes the best.

He knew that you were suffering
He knew you were in pain.
He knew you would never
Get well on earth again.

He saw the road was getting rough
And the hills were hard to climb
So he closed your weary eyelids
And whispered "Peace be thine."

 



In Loving Memory of CL
CL was a strong, iron-willed lady, a trouper if you will,
of remarkable character and dignity. Her no-nonsense
attitude fell right alongside her unique sense of independence.
She stood up for what she believed in. Although deadly
Cancer was quenching her energy, it could not deprive her
of her quick wits and good humor - those were hers to keep.
As her physical strength waned, her indomitable spirit
reined on. Often under excruciating pain and discomfort,
she hardly complained and seldom despaired. One would almost
never know what havoc chemo was raging within her.
In the short time I had known her, I came to admire her.
I enjoyed her company - her sharp wit, her good humor -
she never failed to laugh at a quip or a joke, and in
moments of trifling dissent, her peevish anger often
left me quietly amused for CL had pride without the
fool-hardiness of arrogance that looks down upon humanity.
She had a profound fondness for those who cared for her
and passionately embraced their friendship like a child
that clings to his or her favorite toy. They surely were
ensconced in a special place in her heart.

May the Angels surround her with sweetness and the
blessings of the Lord shower upon her soul. May she
find eternal peace and heavenly joy transcending all
worldly pleasures. She will be missed and carried fondly
in the deepest recesses of loving hearts. The knowledge
that unimaginable pain and anguish of a prolonged suffering
is finally no more torturing her is no small consolation to
the minds of those who unselfishly cared for her.
May God bless her soul.
